This week’s inspirations:
- Nisargadatta’s work I am That
- Full Moon on Friday — an eclipse also, peaking at 96% at 4AM Friday
- The 11/11 gateway date — I had a fortunate experience on this date, finding a place in my life for somebody who nearly slipped away. I was told this would happen by a spiritual advisor explaining this special date. Thanks Tara — definitely check out her website, reuniteyoursoul.com. This all led to:
- Gratitude
Gratitude is the theme for this week’s meditation. We’ll follow a recording of a guided meditation done by Swami Tadatmananda of the Arsha Bodha Center (See the ‘Meditation on Gratitude’ at their website. There are many many wonderful resources at their website arshabodha.org, donations welcome there.
This gratitude meditation may seem to assume that you had a happy childhood, full of good parents and good friends and good experiences. It never mentions negative experiences. Just try and allow for this to be true somehow. Only at the very end after the meditation is it advised that negative thoughts can so quickly poison the whole field of consciousness.
Let gratitude, then, be a way to wash away the negativity, however much of it there may seem to be.
